9 inch Pros and Cons?

I'm looking at a 9 inch for a track car not my currnet vehicle. What are some pros and cons of running a 9 inch. The car will most likely be running N2O on a LS1 automatic by the way.

Re: 9 inch Pros and Cons?

I have had both and:

Pros
1 - Very strong when built with the right stuff
2- Good Gear selection ie 4.30's and 4:70';s I run 4:30's and love them
3- Easy to Swap Center sections
4- Available with Detroit locker - good at track, OK on street

Cons

1- Heavier than a Strange 12 bolt
2- May be overkill for an footbrake automatic car
3- ABS not available for 3 channel system
4- Has more parasitic looses than a 12 bolt
5 - It's a Ford in your GM car
