I have a 93 z28 with the 700R4. My question is, when calibrating the shift points with different governors and spring (lighter ones) to increase the RPM the trans. shifts, does the shift point change with application? for example: if I dial it in at 6200 RPM N/A with my heads/cam setup, will the shift point change (higher or lower than 6200) when I spray the 150 shot? Does it ever change with different applications... I'm just trying to figure out setting shift points is a trial and error basis thing, cuz if it doesn't change with different applications, why isn't there a simple guide for what spring/governor weight will dial in a exact shift point for the trans.???
