ok my transmitions on its way out, but i have a 88 camaro with a bad 305 but a good transmiton, since my 93 has a 4l60 and not the 4l60e is it the same as the one in the 88? and will it just bolt rite up? im not 100% sure on the condition of the one in the 88 so would i just b better off having the one in the 93 rebuilt?

Most of the Chevy's have the 4 pin, the Pontiacs have the 5 pin. The 1993 is a better transmission to start with, more upgrades.

stick with the 4L60 the 700r4 won,t shift into overdrive at full throttle, if you upgrade your car any it can be a major killing factor for any times, or any rice eating on the streets. look around for a cheap rebuild place, see if you can find someone who will take the tranny out of car. it can knock off a couple hundred bucks usually. like i said look around first, ask your local machine shops who they deal with, they usually give reputable dealers. john
