6 speed and 5 speed ?

can i put a 96 t56 6 speed into a 93 z28 and have the speedo ect. work. or should I go with a earlier 5 speed and can I make that work? Thanks Ray

The T56 will work (stickshift 93 Z28s came with it from the factory). You shouldn't need to recalibrate anything to have the speedometer work accurately.

The earlier 3rd gen 5 speeds break too easy. The internals are not strong enough to handle a 350.
