Re: 5 speed

Will it fit? I believe so ... the same 4L60E was used for both the LT1 and the V6. But will it be strong enough?? For a daily driver if you don't abuse it whatsoever . I dunno man, even the T56 has its weaknesses when put through severe duty behind LT1's and LS1's. I think the T5 would be out of its league, unless you don't plan to race it or really abuse it too much?

Re: 5 speed

I know a guy with a cam+boltons '95 3.4L, running 14.7 in the quarter mile, and his T5 is handling it fine via a CenterForce clutch.

That's as much info as I have -- a bone-stock LT1 will run what, a 14.0? But if you're doing a swap, you know you're not leaving it stock.

Sounds like a gamble... anyone with more experience?
