You should be just fine. To the best of my knowledge they are interchangeable.

Cool. I plan on getting one from a Salvage yard. I might have to stick with a 2000 or earlier I think.

Just make sure you get a Aluminum one otherwise you are wasting your money on a steel one.

OK. I got one off e bay for $152.50. It is off an automatic 2001 Ws6 Trans Am w/50K miles. $25 shipping. $177.50 total. A new one off Summit was $325 so I feel good about the price.

its very convenient that all f-bodies from 82 till 02, have interchangeable driveshafts, regardless of automatic, 5 speed or 6 speed.

So seats and driveshafts fit. I wonder what else. That would be a new thread I guess. I'll put it in GENERAL F-BODY TECH.

seats driveshaft, lt1 practically bolts right in, center console, dashboard and gauges with minor work, door panels with alot of work
also the rear suspension is exactly the same
someone has a link to an ebay auction with a 3rd gen fully outfitted with 4th gen everything, ls1/t56 and interior
