4L60E Weak Points

What are the main issues with the 4L60E trans? Can the parts for a rebuild to strengthen it be bought reasonably? Thanks,
Chris

While the above link is true, I still believe you can make the 4L60E live behind a moderate horsepower engine.
I had some of those "questionable" parts upgraded when I had my tranny rebuilt and I have over 10k on it and have no problems with it. I did go softer on the shifts on this tranny cause my old tranny shifted pretty dang hard and I know it contributed to its demise.
What I did was talk to ALOT of people and went with the builder with the best reputation in town and so far it has paid off.
