Beef up a 3rd gen rear end....?

What should be done to make a 3rd gen rear end be able to hold up to 450 HP/ 450 Ft Lbs. Torque with slicks?

I'm sure some of you have some strong rear ends, how much horsepower/torque can a stock rear end w/ aftermarket gears hold up to?

A friend of mine blew his stock 10bolt with 3.73's in his 87 iroc with a 383 stroker dynoed 468 horse/forget the torque but it was up there at the/ flywheel with dr's. He sold the car a little while ago but not before he put in a moser 9". sorry i don't know to much about the specs, i just know they are way to weak and i will be getting a 4th gen rear before i drop in my 350.
