4l60e to TH350
4l60e to TH350
i've heard all the good things about the th350. i have been thinking of maybe taking out the piece of $hit 4l60e and switching to the th350.
i was just wondering what do i have to do to the computer/car to make this work? prices would be nice if u could incorporate it in there please!
thanks for any opinions!

A Th350 is plenty for 10sec. cars. Now if you are making a sub 9sec. car I would go Th400. I put my TH350 in about 6mos. ago and really like it but do miss my OD on the hwy(although I do very little hwy) that is why I went this route. It shifts when you shift it everytime and very consistent unlike my 4l60e. My car will run 10's as soon as I get my n2o tuned and I get it runnung optimal N/A. You don't have to do anything to the computer, just find a way to hookup the speedo which I haven't done yet and buy a kit to hookup the Torque arm to the trans which costs $120 and a dipstick madman sells for about $125. Other than that you can use the same flywheel, and driveshaft if you go with the longtail like I did. Good luck Later Clint

I'd draw the line for a TH350 vs. TH400 around 550-600 horsepower. If you plan to make more you should think about the TH400. The TH350 has a transmission crossmember available from BMR for the LT1's. This makes the swap a little easier. You need to fab what you need for the TH400.
You don't need a BMR crossmember. All you need is to weld a tab onto your stock crossmember or use a M6 crossmember. We have used TH350's behind 700+hp engines and they last but it depends who builds the trannys.
