4l60e to t-56

My tranny in my car is like riding out the gears it doesnt wanna switch gears from a dead stop and my rear is only spinning the passenger side tire, so I think both are going up. Or do you think it could just be one making the other mess up? Im thinking of doiing a 4l60e to a t-56 swap but Idk what all Ill need, can anyone please tell em exactly eveything I need. My car is a 94 z28 and I know where there is a 94 Trans am with a 6 speed, everything should swap no problem right? Do I need to switch out pcms?

PCM can be reflashed with an M6 program, or swapped.

There's several how-to threads on the "Drivetrain" forum, which is where these topics are covered. I'll move the post there for you.....

Honestly with stuff like that I find it works GREAT to just find a donor car wrecked or no title or whatever. Then pull out whatever is needed and when project is done sell off rest. But I have the hookup with a junkyard so I can dispose of my carcusses. Though ive only done it with 3rd gen cars. (get the 5 speed out of this one, the rear end out of that one the ground effects off this one) you can build a nice car on the CHEAP with a little patience. Plus sticks are sooo much more fun to drive
