4L60E shifting problems

I have a 94 Z28 A4 and just had it rebuilt for the 2nd time in three months and probably dont have 20 miles on it. I am going to explain the best I can. I have a TCI stall in it and when I took it to the track and stall it up to around 2500 it bounces off the revlimiter on 1 2 upshift and goes straight to drive. It only does it when the trans is warm and when I run around on the street it shifts fine. The first time it was rebuilt the guy that did it said he put the best parts in it. Took it for the second time but to a different guy that I have heard good stuff about he done it and said my clutches were burnt up. Got my car back Wed. and took it the the track friday and the same dang thing again checked the fulid and it is brown with a burnt smell. I have nitto drag radials and on the street when I stall it up it will spin and go through all the gears fine. On a sticky track no tire spin and it seems like it puts a load on it. I ran four times friday night and twice I stalled it over 2500 and it hits the rev limiter and when I didn't stall it or stalled it very little it seemed like it shifted fine. oh yeah I have a trans cooler also. I have heard about the fulid pump in it dont know if that is weak or what. I have spent alot of money and getting very sick of this. Somebody help please. Oh yeah car is basically stock with a few bolt-on and pcmforless tune.

thanks
josh

Re: 4L60E shifting problems

Are they sure the cooler is flowing properly. Id guess yer not getting enough lube flow/pressure. Possibly a bad pressure solenoid also. They should have flushed your cooler out, but they may not have payed attention to how well it flowed. Restricted coolers will repeatedly burn trannies up. Try putting a new EPC solenoid on it. Sometimes (who am I kidding, most of the time) shops do not replace electrical items such as these and thats what controls your pressure. Very important item.
