There's a little lever on the driver side of the 4L60E (1994 Z28) trans case that attaches to a cable. Lever needs replacing apparently (I haven't seen it, its on a friend's car out of state from me) but the part is unavailable. Anyone got a source for an aftermarket replacement or other solution?

93,94,95 all had the same issue. The 10174453 lever with a 6mm pin ball was replaced by 12554126 lever with a 10mm pin ball. Updating to the newer lever requires changing the cable also. You should be able to find the 1st design lever in a salvage yard on a 93,94,95.

 

Thanks for the reply. Looks like both levers are discontinued, but I found a stud with a 10 mm ball on Amazon so we're going to try modifying the existing lever.
