4l60e rebuild kit question...is this good enough?

Does this look like a good complete kit for my 94 4l60e to be able to handle 425 hp/ 450 tq?

Includes
AHP35004R-K - ALTO HP Master Kit, w/ Red Eagle Friction & Kolene Steels
N74020CK - Alto HP Carbon Power Band
74010E - Wide filter 1993-97
74030E - Complete bushing kit w/ TEFLON pump bushing
A74905BK - Corvette servo
74507TEK - Boost Valve & Sleeve, Hi-Perf .500 Dia.
74089 - Ft. Seal Retainer

Also, which of these kits should I go with for an "imporved shift"?

Performance / heavy duty kit, TransGo #4L60E-HD2
Automatic shift: Competition, off road and heavy duty
From Transgo: Crisp muscle car or full race shifts. Puts the driver in command. Holds 1st, 2nd, 3rd to any speed. Backshifts to 3rd, 2nd & 1st by moving the lever.. 1998 up: If vehicle has Torque Management this kit will not make hard shifts.

Or

TransGo # SK 4L60E Shift improvement / correction kit Corrects/Prevents/Reduces: No lock-up or 4th and code 1870. Cutloose & bang from reverse to drive; forward and low/reverse clutch burnup. 1-2 bump; double bump; slide-bump; delayed reverse engagement hot. Includes new design PWM boost valve. Also corrects worn valve body, rough shifts and blinking light. No special tools needed

Thanks.

Clutches, band, pump bushing, and servo are mediocre, at best. There are MUCh better parts to use in one.

Would the kit be adequate for a 400 horse build? I'm not looking to have an all out race tranny...just looking for something that will handle a little power. I'm sure the z06's don't have race transmissions in them and they are turning the same kind of power...would the tci kit be a better kit to rebuild for my intent?

I wouldn't go with a kit for your clutches. Buy the ATSG manual and sit down and read it from cover to cover. Then tear your trans down and familiarize yourself with the parts(If you are like me, this will take a while). Then you can order all of yours parts in one shot.

The Borg Warner Hi Energy clutches for the 3-4 clutches and low reverse clutches were recommended to me and I would recommend them as well. There are also two flat bearings inside the trans that will not come with any kit I have seen. Inspect them on teardown and replace them if they are suspect. Also get yourself a case saver to replace the Anti-clunk spring. It has to be easier than getting that bugger back in there :>)

I purchased the Trans Go SK 4L60E kit and so far this seems like a good kit to go with. The instructions are good in some areas and leave a bit to much to the imagination in others, read the directions before you assemble your trans, there are components to be modified inside the trans. I don't know anything about the other kit you mentioned except, that it gives you full shift control.

Hope this helps.

Thanks...I'll have to take a look into the trans go kit...I haven't heard of it yet but if it's tried and trusted, it's worth looking into...I don't think I'll be building this myself...a transmission shop in town states they have luck with the tci kits and so it was recommended to me....
