the last time i drove my car it didnt shift very well.

the car sat for awhile and im not all to sure sbout how long... but i know it was over a few years.

I started it and noticed it was out of trans fluid.. (when i first got it running again)

so i put 2 qts in it.. and it shifted, so i got some more and put it in filled it up and let it run, checked it again and filled up while it was running...

then it shifted without slipping... when i put it into gear, its a 3 second wait till its in drive or reverse..

but when i took it for a ride, while driving i put it to the floor, rpms rose and then it would jump up and take off but it wouldnt spin the tires... now from a dead stop it would smoke em off the line..

but i havent drove it since... i was low on gas too at the time...

so can someone ease my mind please? and tell me its not a transmission problem... unless its a solinoid.

i havent done any code scanning...

but anyway... i was wondering if i had trouble codes still in the computer would it cause it to act like this? ill see if i cant get a scanner of some sort..


but what codes should i look for???
