4L60E question

ok i was wondering if it is possible to use a 4L60E from a 98+ in a 95 trans am....the reason i ask this is because the console in a 95 says '2-3-D' and the 98+ '1-2-3-D'.....if so what do i all need to make it work if anything (shift lever arm, etc.)???

Thanks,
Matt

Re: 4L60E question

You can't put an LS1 4L60E in an LT1 car.

Re: 4L60E question

Frank,

The reason i asked is because i have a transmission under my car right now that the shift lever arm isnt fitting on right...it just feels like too much play in the cable, if that makes any sense. any suggestions? The tranny and motor were from a 94 camaro and i have them in a 95 trans am...did they change anything on the tranny's between them years?

Thanks,
Matt
