4L60E question

I have a 1994 Z28 and was wondering how much power can the tranny take stock? I am going to do a complete overhaul on the car with a new motor and tranny, but that is about a year and a half away and I can get a LT4 conversion kit for cheap. Can the tranny in this car take that power without having to be built though?

nope, the stock trans cant even hold the power that the stock motor makes, ive ONLY broken mine once surprisingly, but some people go thru them like trans mounts. i would suggest getting at least a stage II rebuild before unleashing the motor b/c out of the box the 4L60E cant take it!
