This is why we really don't advise anyone to rebuild their own 4L60E's. It gets time consuming and expensive...Especially if you start burning up $100 Z-Paks.
There are many many numerous things contributing to 3-4 life. First off, throw away that alto arrangement. What 2nd servo are you using? Are yiou using "load release" springs in the drum? Are you using a Trans Go shift kit? What are you drilling the hole in the plate to? Do you have a good air check? stator teflon rings sealing? Is the 3-4 piston sealing? Bad pump stator bushings? Still using the stock slide spring? What boost valve? Is the converter locking up?
If you're not real familiar with these transmissions, there's alot of things that can be overlooked.

Is the Jet billet, or just a "corvette" type? If you're using the 3-4 "load release" springs, you'll never keep 3-4's in it. Even with them, you should only see problems later than you are. You've got to be overlooking something.

You specified your converter. Are you sure it's locking up?

Yes, those are the springs. If you reuse them, you'll keep cooking 3-4's

I'm not sure...I've never seen one. We use Fairbanks 2nd servios and Sonnax "Super Hold" 4th servos.
