What converter is in it? A non lock-up/floating issue can be caused by several dofferent reasons. One is the converter, itself. We've seen cheaper converters do this from initial install. The lock-up solenoid, tcc regulator valve, or computer inputs could be other causes.
You might want to run the car with a scanner to check your data information. Make sure the computer isn't commanding it to come out of lock-up. The input shadft in the transmission can wear where the lock-up o-ring rides, also.

Shouldn't your transmission builxder be addressing this issue?

I put the trans together and its a tci stall that was in the car before with no problems. i replaced the prm tcc senlonid because of a no 1-4 gears, now im thinking its the tcc senlonid but im going to get at it with the tech2 sometime today.
