Question 4l60e delayed shift/ PLEASE respond.

I just swapped my 93 lt1 6spd for my new 94 lt1 4l60e... the car has 68 thousand miles on it... the transmission fluid seems burnt, so i am changning the fluid and filter this week....

I just had a couple of questions since i don't know much about this transmission.

from NEUTRAL... when i shift into drive, it takes a second to shift into gear... when i shift from drive, through neutral, and to reverse, it takes a COUPLE of seconds (2-4 seconds)... i am no expert, but that doesn't seem normal... the car is very quick and i don't have any complaints about going through gears 1-4
reverse solenoid?

when i back up my driveway, if i give it a little gas, the car shakes... i was guessing that the wheels were just hopping...
does that sound normal?

what kind of fluid should i use? I want to use the best possible.
I'll probably install a trans cooler at some point but a good fluid that will reduce the friction is ok in my book.

if you would like to respond directly, elysium155@yahoo.com
Thank you very much.
