Just pulled the transmission out of my 97 z28 on friday, its a gu5 code car. Just wondering if camaro's came with corvette servo's from the factory? Some people have said yes and others have said no some i'm confused. While I have it out i'm debating whether or not I want to do any upgrades with it and if i do a corvette servo is something i'm interested in if it doesn't have one already. Thanks. -Kyle

 

It got the Vette servo, even a 94 Roadmaster got the Vette servo.

Can I guess who is saying you have it and who is saying you need it? Enthusiasts often know this and incompetent tranny shops often want to sell this as an upgrade.

 

corvette servo and trans go hd2, or get a tune and have them firm up the tranny

 

All LT1 and LS1 Camaro's and Firebirds came with Corvette servos. I see people buying them all the time as an "upgrade", but they don't know that they're putting the exact same thing in that came out.

I prefer the Surerior kit, if you have to buy one in a box. Not a big fan on the Trans Go stuff.
