4L60E compatibility questions

Are this tranny all the same between Y,F and B bodies (eg 96 SS)? I thinking about sensors, internals (clutches, solenoids, servos, etc), bolts and chassis mounts, mount points to the LT1.

My car in question is a '94 vette with LT1, and I need to do a rebuilt. One option I have is to rebuild what I have, which means I'll need to be able to do this in my garage. The other is to source a low-mileage tranny from somewhere and have a shop do the swap for me.

I need to figure out what pool of vehicles I can source the 4L60E from. thanks a bunch!!!

Re: 4L60E compatibility questions

The 1993 & 1994 are their own. 1995 is its own, & 1996 - 1999, & 2000 & up. The gear trains are pretty much the same throughout.
