4l60e acting up!!!!

OK well idk anything about transmissions, so cananyone hep me out? ummm well wen i go from a 20 roll or a 40 roll the transmission seems to slip like its not going into 2nd gear, b/c it seems like it goes to neutral then after like 3 sec it shifts gears. so do i need a rebuild? how much would a rebuild run me? could it be my solenoids I hope its not that serious. mayb my powerband?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Andy, It sounds like your 2-4 band isn't holding. Probably because it's burnt up. A good rebuild that'll take whatever you want to throw at it shouldn't cost any more than $1000 + hard parts + converter.

Same thing happened to me. Got mine rebuilt by a real expert (see sig) and I am very very happy.

Thanks, Jason. Hey, we still need some pictures of your car for our web site. If you've got any, shoot them to cahallperformancetransmissions@yahoo.com
We'll put them on our "CPT Cars" page.

Thanks,
Frank

One day in the next week or two I will get off my lazy azz and take a few pics of the car. I've been getting hammered at work lately
