4l60 (not 4l60e) hard shifts

I was driving my car today and under hard accelleration my transmission seemed to shift really hard. Under weaker loads it seems to be alright. I have a 1993 Formula with only 21k miles. Other than a catback exhaust it is stock. I have a 1993 Formula with only 21k miles I know I havent changed the tranny fluid/filter, could that be a problem? Could it be the 1-2 clutch pack?

Any help would be appreciated like usual.

Could be a broken 1-2 accumulator spring. Is the shift timimg still normal? If it's also shifting late, it could be a TV valve trying to hang up.

The accumulator spring is easy to get to, once you drop the pan. Just 3 10 MM bolts.

The 4L60 has no "1-2" clutch. The 2-4 band comes on for 2nd gear.
