4.10 vs 3.90 on nitrous?
4.10 vs 3.90 on nitrous?
would 4.10 be to much, meaning would it put me in o/d at topend? I now have a 3.90 with a 28" et drag and it hooks good,I have to change the gears there making some noise,so I figured I might as well go up?
Well do you think theres room to move up based on your shift points? I mean by the book no you shouldn't. 4.10's and a power adder dont quite work together but if the car has 28 inch slicks, and is a trailer queen than its another story.
So with the amount of info you provided you are going to be the best judge, if your un sure give so more info on your setup.

Figure the gears required to cross the traps near redline, based on factors like tire diameter, converter slip, tire growth, etc. Then put enough tire on the car. I run nitrous and 4.11's, with 28" ET Drags. No problem. You can't just say one gear is good with nitrous and another one isn't. You have to work the numbers.
Without details of your specific setup, including things like engine redline, tranny type, converter slip (if its an automatic), and estimated trap speeds, reflecting the size of the shot, etc., no one can even begin to answer your question.
Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods? That would at least provide enough info to get started.
