I noticed a big difference going from 3.42's.
The A4 loves 3.73 as long as you can live with 3000 rpm at 80 mph. When it shifts from first second is right in the power curve.
The gears are crisp and unlabored. Goes like hell on the highway too.
You'll lose maybe 1 mpg or 2 if you drive it hard ar fast.
The car with 3.73's cries out " Do Me! Make me accelerate"

I love mine. I really felt a difference since I went from 2.73's to 3.73's. Word of advice though, I have been told by some very reputable places, as well as members on the board that Richmond gears hum in our cars. I was told after the fact, and mine do hum. Not bad, but noticeable.

My Motive 3 series gears are perfectly quiet.
Thats great because my 2 series Strange 3.42's were so noisy I wrapped some pink fiberglass insulation around the rear end and put Lucas thick oil additive in.
