3500 stall shifts

Quick question. With hi stall around 3500 at wot shifts where does your shifts land. Stock ls1 the car will shift at 5900-6100 and fall back to 5000-5200. Does that seem right for a 3500 stall. I +- 200 rpm for the stock tack being off from the factor. Thanks

The smaller the diameter of the torque converter, higher stall, and the more horsepower/torque you have will keep the rpm's from dropping as far back as a lareger diameter, lower stall, and less horsepower/torque. Some people call this "shift extension" which is "nonsense"! Your situation sounds like the torque converter is slightly on the loose side, but if you are "happy" with it....

What would be the "exected" rpm after the shift if there were no convertor "slip"? Figure that out. If it's more than 10% the converter is definitely too loose.
