3200 stall driving questions

i have never had a higher stall than stock so bear with me. i put a 3200 stall and a rebuilt trans in my car, my question is will the stall change the rpm's while cruising at say 60 as compared to the stock stuff?
the car is a 94 z28,383, and i put in a lock up converter and had pcmforless do the tune

No - sorta. If your convert has locked up its a No, if it has then the RPM may be a bit higher.
You will be very very happy lauching at lights though

No as long as the converter locks up the RPM can't change.

Your question was will a stall change the RPM - no once its locked up. However if your tuner changed your shift points around you may be in a different gear than before depending on the tune...

ok. but how does tuning for a 3200 stall make me go from say 1600 rpms in o.d. at 55mph to 2075 at 55mph in o.d. i am clueless to what is done on tuning for anything, so dont think im being a jerk im just asking

Sounds like the converter is not being commanded to lock .

Check your brake lights to see if they are stuck on. My friend had trouble with this switch on his brake pedal, and it would not allow the converter to lock. The converter is supposed to unlock if you hit the brake pedal, so if the switch is not working right, the converter will never lock because it thinks you are hitting the brakes. Just double check that to rule it out.

a little update. i put my brothers actron scan tool on it today when i was driving around and its seeing the gear selections correctly and from what i can tell everything is being comanded to turn the tcc on when its supposed to, but for some reason when im in the trans data driving at 55 mph on my speedo the actron is only seeing 30 mph for the vehicle speed. how can that be? doesn't the vss send the signal to the comp then to the speedo and use that signal for the speed to lock the converter?

now tis is getting to suck. i wired in a lock up switch and nothing happens. so either i got beat on the converter not being a lock up or the trans isn't for a 94.

If the trans is for a 95 up then you wont have lockup. Where did you get the trans. But if indeed its a 95 up the fix is actually quite simple and the trans can still be used.
I would first determine if it is a simple way in the car would be to drop pan and see how many solenoids and at the front of trans if theres two one that bolts in and a round one its a 93-94 unit if there are two round solenoids plus the one that bolts in under one of then its a 95, If you find its a 95 get with me and I will tell you how to fix it.
