3000 stall problem

Alrighty, I put in a 3000 stall on my car over the weekend. I already have this post going on http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=267612

That isn't that big of a deal to me, I'm pretty sure the sensor is to blame cus oil pressure was perfect prior to this and the engine is fine.

Now, onto my question. As I said I put in a 3000 stall. The tranny shifts fine regularly driving, even getting on it a little bit. If I go WOT though it kinda misses the 1st to 2nd gear shift. I don't know how to explain cus it doesn't feel like it's slipping. I've been in a car with the tranny slipping and it doesn't feel like that. At WOT around 4500 RPMS it like goes into nuetral kind of. If it was slipping, I don't understand why it's slipping at 4500 RPMs? before this I was shifting out of first at 5700ish.

Quick Edit: I've had a person tell me maybe it's the obd1 high stall problem. No, it's not going into 3rd. It's not even shifting, once it "slips" I just let off.

Another tidbit I'd like to add, when I put back on the shift linkage I put it on backwards at first, then I realized what I did and put it on the right way. Could stretching the linkage cause this? I don't think so, but I'm not a tranny person.

Any help please? Don't tell me it's my tranny going.

Search in the computer forum for the OBD 1 3000+ stall no shift problem.

Yeah it's possibly the OBD1 problem. FYI I never had that problem with my OBD1 and 3000rpm Vig. Are you sure it's not just the stall making the tranny shift real sloppy? I dunno how that feels since I had a shift kit done at the same time, but I'm told it really really makes the shifts crappy and soft(which most people don't like). Do you think it may feel like that?
