3 Series ABS/9 Inch Rear

I heard that someone had come up with a driveshaft mounted setup to retain the ABS. I'm in the market for a rear right now, and have a six speed with the 3 series ABS. I would be going to a 9" in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the fact that I can't retain my ABS. Right now the strange is the frontrunner because of it's bolt right in ability, but I thought I'd see if someone had any info about retaining the abs with the 9 inch. Thanks.

You might look into putting a reluctor wheel on the front of the pinion flange. JagsThatRun currently offers a 40-tooth reluctor gear mounted in that position, with a sensor on a bracket. The 40-tooth is to provide the VSS signal to an A4 PCM. But in concept it would be possible to mount a wheel with more teeth, equal to whatever the reluctor gear is in the stock 3-channel carrier setup. A friend of mine needed a driveshaft rpm signal (to compare to engine rpm, to calculate converter slip), and added a wheel and sensor to his 9-inch.

So this is feasible then. Now we're getting somewhere. I'm still torn though because you can't get a 35 spline posi in a 9" can you?? Reason I ask is even though my car is primarily going to be a dragstrip car, I would like to road race (Silver State Classic) it once or twice and a locker doesn't help the cause.

About the gear teeth.....does the amount matter???
