3 channel - 4 channel diff question

Will a differential from a 4 channel (LS1) work in a 3 channel (LT1) rear. I know its missing the abs ring, but can it changed over?

Thanks,
Luke

If you are talking about just the differential/carrier, yes. If you mean the whole axle, I don't know if it will work without changing stuff from the LT1 over to the LS1 axle.

Re: 3 channel - 4 channel diff question

Yes, just the differential. So the reluctor ring is interchangable. Just wanted to make sure. I will end up having to buy a new one anyways because when the stock posi blew, pieces tore up the ring. So I got a good deal on a stock 4 channel rear, and planning on pulling the parts (diff, ring, and pinion) for my 3 channel rear. This will get the car back on the road till I get a 12 bolt.
