3.73's or converter, or both?

I have 3.23's right now, and I'm debating on just gettin a vig 2800 and keepin the 3.23's so i don't kill my gas millage, or should I go with 3.73's and the stall? I plan on doing h/c down the road too if that makes a difference.

i'd suggest getting the stall first....you'd see more improvement with that over gears, plus youd run lower on the highway still

Definatly a stall, you will pick up alot more time than with a gear swap, and if you get a good converter, like a yank or a vig, you don't need as deep of gear because of the insane tourqe multiplication you get from a 9.5 converter.

Whats the stall/ratio on the vig, and how efficient is it, because I don't want to loose any topend.

I believe the STR is 2.2-2.5, as far as loosing some up top, that will depend on how high of stall you get, atleast thats the way it was explained to me. Go to www.pro-built.net or call Dana, he's a great guy and will answer any question's you have. He is a little conservative on stall speed but it comes down to how you drive the car. I was going to up my stall to around 3300, but after talking to him yesterday he talked me out of it, mainly because 1, I have such traction issue's now, and since I like the way the converter performs, he said if I did go higher I would notice some slight mph loss up top, but it's like anything else with cars, you can't have everything.
Hope this helps some.

The best thing would be to get gears and a stall, but you would be fine with just the stall. I say just the stall or both.
