hows this sound for a 4l60e?

Hey guys, finally am getting another transmission for my camaro, i called a local shop, well a hour away... but hes like "yea we have a 4l60e out of a caprice wagon that they built up, heavy duty sun shell, umm better clutches and whatnot", and also it has a 12 month warantee, first 6 months are labor and parts, 2nd 6 months is just parts, so 12 month/12K mile warantee, o yeah and this shop has been around for 40 years, and the guy that works there that built the tranny im buying has been doing it since he was 15 years old and has been working on the 700R4's since they first came out, well anyways he told me 725 bucks total, and then i would have to bring in my tranny as a core, but does this sound like a good deal? he said he would not build it up for that price if i were to get mine rebuilt, just since he has that one left over, hes holding it for me till next week, but just wanted to check with you guys before i go for it, well let me know your thoughts, thanks!!!

I am kinda new with tranny's but if it is a solid tranny for that price it sounds ok. Especially if you can't get your rebuilt for that price. I don't know the mechanical side of it but that is what it sounds like to me. Get that one or spend more to get yours rebuilt to that status.
