when swaping gears do you absolutely need the installation kit, or just the ring and pinion. i have several friends that have just swapped without changing anything else and the gears dont whine or have any other problems.

 

I would do the whole kit so you don,t have any problems down the road.
I am one of those people that likes to put in new parts when I take something apart though.
