Frank,

When a car starts missing the 3-4 shift on a 4L60E, is there potential for a lot of damage to the internals? My car was doing that, but I had a M6 waiting to go in. I now have the A4 tranny sitting on my floor and I am just curious if it's still useful as a tranny for someone else to have rebuilt. If so, typically, what would you ballpark it being worth to sell?

Thanks

What you've got there is what we call a "rebuildable core". I'll give you $125 + shipping for it if you'd like to package it up.

Thanks,
Frank

Frank, won't shipping from Canada to you be expensive? I'll keep it in mind. I think I would rather sell it locally and avoid the shipping. I'd be leary about trying to package it such that damage wouldn't occur during transit. I appreciate the offer though.

GM discontinued that part. I haven't been able to find one.

well sorry for the missinformation in that light, i did order mine about a year ago...maybe TCI or another popular aftermarket group makes one? I know tci has a manual shift valve body and multiple versions of it - im sure one of them will allow those kinds of shifts.
