3.23 to 3.42.. Opinions Plz

I have a 94 a4 z28.. cc503 cam, comp pro mags, bored.30, 2800 stall, headers... you get the ideaa..

I have series 3 3.23 in the rear.. having some problems out the rear so im changing to 3.42 gears...

How much improving will i be able to feel with that gear? from 70 80+.. you damn doing alot to outrun mee with 3.23's, i love highways around the beach out here where you can actually pull on ppl at that speed.. i dont want to go to low with the gear... anybody got an advice.. thankss

The difference will be slight.

Torque at the rear wheels will go up by 5.9%. RPM at any given MPH will increase by 5.9%. Will be hard to notice.

I'd spend the $500+ on something that actually adds power/torque, rather than switch from from 3.23's to 3.42's.

In my 93Z, I switched to 3.42 from 3.23, but thats because I wanted alttle more pull in the city, and keeping gas mileage for highway.... No regrets here...

you wont notice the difference. I went from 3.42 to 3.73 and felt nothing.

I did it, and I didn't feel much other than a harder initial launch. After that, it acts the same, but the only downside is that at 80 mph, you are turning almost 2800 rpm.
