3,000 rpm @60mph

well i have a 2000 auto with full bolt-ons, 3.73 12-bolt and a fuddle 2800 rpm stall and a level 2 performabuilt tranny, everything seems to work properly and the car has run 12.2 @111 but at 60 it just seems to be reved kinda high

before the stall i THINK it was around 2600 rpm at 65, will the stall do this to my rpm? anyone else have this combo? my tuner set my missfire table off and converter lockup duty cycle up and tq man. off.

during normal driving i feel the 1-2 shift 2-3 shift then i think i feel another shift but the rpms only drop 200rpm

Is this normal?

Are you talking about 3rd gear? According to www.f-body.org/gears/ 2950 w/3.73 = 60. Dunno, maybe it's the tune....that calc is dead on for my car, but haven't messed with the lockup duty cycle...

Sounds like you may either not be gettig lockup or the 3-4 shift. You need to run a scanner on it t see what its being comanded to do as a first step/ Sounds more like lockup though with the rpm differential at the various speeds 4th should make for a 30 percent drop so your rpm would be much higher I would think without the 4th shift. But since your hovering around stall speed no lockup is the most likley issue. Scan the unit and check for the actual gear shift and then for lockup enable and also codes then give me a call .

i will scan it next, the only thing i can think it is that maybe the o-ring on the input shaft was not installed or damaged during converter installation, i was extremely careful throughout the whole install but s%#t does happen. you guys said you do install that o-ring when you ship it right? I know i didn't put it on.........i should have made sure it was on there........anyway i will get it scanned and if everything comes up as good and there are signals for lock-up and the 3-4 shift then i will take a vacation day saturday and slide the tranny back and pull the converter to see if that o-ring is there.

We do put the oring on however yes it can be damaged but afer or when your scanning it before you do anything call me,
570-578-5686 there are many reasons for a no lockup conditions in tuning and such we should look at before you pull the trans to look at the oring,
Thanks frank at performaBuilt
