2001 SS Bad clutch?

Just realized I should have posted this question in this section not the general tech section. Here go's.

Hopped into the SS yesterday morning and went to drive off. For the first couple of times I used the clutch going from parked into 4th gear the pedal stayed close to the floor. For the next 20 minutes it drove just fine as I went to work.

On the way home it drove fine again. I made a stop for some groceries then hopped in to drive the last 5 minutes home. The clutch pedal was all the way down to the floor and the clutch wasn't fully disengaged. I could feel it grabbing just slightly. Managed a couple of hard shifts but once I was into 5th and moving the pedal returned to its normal position and the car drove fine.

So is my clutch going out or is it something else? The car has a little over 30k and the clutch is the original one. Most of the driving has been on the street with maybe a dozen visits to the drag strip and a couple of autocrosses.

Any ideas?

The fluid level is fine. In fact I experienced what I thought was just a fluke with the clutch a few weeks earlier and about a week before this happened I had begun using the "'Ranger" method for removing and replacing the fluid with new DOT4 Prestone.

I drove the car today and everything seemed fine. I did some research on the corvetteforum and this seems to happen a lot with the C5 guys and it's usually a bad master cylinder or slave. Something about the fluid getting too dirty and messing up the hydraulics. I'm just not sure how similar the LS1/ clutch setup is in my SS compared to the C5.
