2.73's and 3500stall??

Can I run my stock 2.73's and a 3500stall? Someone said i couldn't.......i think they said something about it bogging down

I really need answers, because my posi is gone and need to know which direction to go..........if i can use the 2.73's with the 3500 stall and be okay, i will just get the Zexel take-off for 150bucks......but if i can't then i want to switch to a Eaton with 3.42's but will be a lot more money. I basically need something to get me by till next year then the Moser is going in

So basically i am asking can i run 2.73's and 3500stall converter with Nittos? Good or Bad idea?

a friend of mine has a 98 z28, with 2.73s and a 3500 stall, and nittos.

he cut a best of 1.86 60ft. he has LTs, exhaust, and a lid.
he only got to run the car twice, the track was really busy.

oh, and i don't know if he said it bogged down or not. he did say that gears are on his to do list, ASAP.

I had some bog with my 2400 and 2.73's. A higher stall would have to be more noticeable, I'd think. It's nothing terrible, but it can be a bit annoying. 3.73's really straightened things out.

If I had it to do over again, I'd go gears then a stall.
