2.73 to 3.73 swap
2.73 to 3.73 swap
all i want to know is what will my top speed be at red line right now with 2.73 i can go about 160 at about 4000 rpm's not that i really need to go that fast but was just wondering thats all is it worth it to get 3.73's or 3.42's thanks
Re: 2.73 to 3.73 swap
This is probably the best tool going!!
Check it out yourself. With 3.42's, 160 will be at ~5000 RPM, and with 3.73's it will be at ~5500 RPM's
.
I had 3.73's in my car last year, and they worked really well (except they whined bad
). But for fuel mileage, I didn't suffer that bad.....in fact, I got better city mileage, and only lost maybe ~30 - 40 miles to a tank on the highway. With the 4.10's now (which do 160 at 6000 RPM
) I've lost nearly ~60 miles/tank on the highway, but they haul a$$ off the line
(I've shaved .4 seconds off my 1/4 mile time, and picked up over 1 mph
).
