2.73 to 3.73 swap

I got a few question about this. What series carrier do i have? I ahve a a4 2.73 car. What all do i need to do the swap the right way? the car only spins one tire right now, what would i need such as a clutch kit for the rear end, or maybe a locker? Can you give me a few places to buy this stuff too. Thanks peoples

You have a 2 series carrier. You can buy 3.73s for a 2 series carries at www.thunderracing.com

Ok since your car has a 2.73 gear in it then you have a series 2 carrier. Since you stated your car only spins one tire that would mean to me that you either need posi additive or your posi unit is shot. Unfortunately stock posi's are not rebuildable. My recommendation would be to buy a take off series 3 carrier. I would highly recommend www.thunderracing.com .

to do the swap right your gonna need a dail indicator w/ a magnetic base and the install kit provided by the gear manufacture... SLP has a deal on the Zexel Torson posi for 100 bucks.. oh yeah have fun setting the pinion depth and the backlash.
