1995 B4C Differential - Different than other Z-28's?

My 1995 B4C is having problems in the differential and I would like to install a whole new set of gears, etc..., a complete package so to speak.

It's an ex-state police chase car and has the B4C package in it, so does that mean different things in the differential from a regular '95 Z-28 or is it the same parts?

I have NO idea about this sort of thing, I'm having the work done and I just want to know my options.

The repair shop says my options are:

a used rear end from a yard, but a used B4C rear end is going to be almost impossible to find due to it being a rare package option.

a new replacement kit with all parts ($3,000!!!!!) from a GM parts place, but I'm not sure on availability?

Any other places I could get the kit? Anyplace online I could get the whole package?

Any help or suggestions??

Tim

Pretty much every part on a Z is the same as a B4C. That would include the rear end. You could get an aftermarket, bullet proof rear for that $3000 (or less).
