Question 1994 Firebird Auto Trans Shifting Problems

Ok I Have A 1994 3.4 Firebird And It Doesn`t Wanna Shift Out Of First Gera Unless I Let Off The Gas Pedal.
It Dont Matter If I Only Give It Enough Gas To Just Move The Car, Or Floor It, It Will Not Shift Into Second Unless I Let All The Way Up On The Gas Pedal Then It Shifts Fine.

All The Other Shifts Are Fine, Only Does This On The 1-2 Shift. Cold Or Hot It Still Does It, We Recently Swapped In A Motor From A 5 Speed Car But We Never Drove This Car Prior To Doing The Engine Swap.

Is There Something Thats Different On The 5 Speed 3.4?

Any Help Here Would Be Great!!!

I have the EXACT same problem, and i am wondering if it's the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or the solenoids. Here's my thread on it. I've tried 3 different threads before i can get someone to reply.

here's the thread
