12s with 2.73????

12s with 2.73????

How hard would it be to get into the 12s with a 2.73? with ported heads bolts ons and hot cam kit?

It shouldn't be too hard. Back when I ran the Hotcam and had stock 3.23's I ran 12.50's@108mph N/A and 11.60's@117mph on a 150shot. Your current setup should run 11's with some tires on the spray I would think. You could probably sneak into the high 12's on motor too depending on weight, traction, torque converter, heads and exhaust. When I swapped from 3.23 to 3.42's I didn't gain very much. But If I were you I would buy a used set of 3.42's from a M6 car for $50 and they would definately be worth it. Later Clint

You should be able to make it to the 12s. If I ever got any traction and my tranny wasn't slipping, I would have made it in there last year. I'm now waiting to rebuild so I'll let you know next summer.
