10 thousands off LT1 flywheel?

Is that to much to have taken off? Will it still work OK? I have a 25thousands shim from a trans shop, and he said that would bring it back to stock position with wear and turning. Should I use the shim or just leave it?

Sounds about right. I think mine had 8 thousands taken off. Installed as is with no shims, works great.
