What do I need to do to remove it?

 

take off the wheels, take the brake calipers/lines/ e-brake cable off, unbolt the driveshaft, torque arm, shocks, panhard rod, and lower control arms

 

Alright. Thanks haha I figured there was nothing to it. Most of that stuff is already off just figued I would ask anyways.

 

All I did was pull the calipers, left everything attached and set them up on the axle.

I removed the rear cover, removed the pin that holds the axles apart. I pushed the axles in far enough to remove the C keeps inside the rear housing and then pulled the axles out about 8 inches. I then unbolted the bearing caps and lightly pried the diff forward. Be careful here because it can fall all the way to the floor/ground.

 

It's simple, I had mine out and a new one back in in about 4 hours.
