$700.00 for 4.10's and install fair price?

$700.00 for 4.10's and install fair price?

i called the shop i was planning on having my gears put in at and the guy quoted me around 700 with all parts and install. does that sound about right?

Just a bit steep, but nothing outrageous. I paid $330ish for gears/install kit (Thunder) and the install cost me another $300 at a local shop.

thanks for the response jkipp, when he said 700ish maybe a lil more lil less who knows, hopefully less but you know how that goes, anyways, anyone else have any input

In my old camaro i pad 800 for everything...Eaton Posi, 373 gear, new bearing and all installed. I thaugh the price was right. I wouldnt pay anymore than 150 for labor and 160 for the ring and pinion. Buts thats just me.

If he said $700ish, it needs to stay under $700. That is already on the high side. He better do a perfect install the first time, though.
