Yanking front and rear sway bars??
Yanking front and rear sway bars??
I have heard many people yank their front sway bar for racing, but do any of you pull the rear as well? My friend was telling me I'd get better launches if I got rid of both sway bars. Any opinions? Thanks.

absolutly not! the FR bar, yes. but NOT the back. with the front off, it removes a little weight, but the main purpose is better weight transfer. it will allow the front end to come up more. i drive my Z every day with it off.
you can take the back off, but it willl do more harm than good. i dont see you making any significant gains with the rear off also. have you ever seen a car make a pass with the rear off?? those are the cars that you see not only pull the front left off the ground, but the whole car looks like its going to roll over to the right. its harder to keep straight, mainly because it doesnt launch straight, and it will cause frame damage eventually. it will twist it all up.
with just the front off, you should be able to launch fine, and possibly gain .1-.3 in the 1/4. i havent a chance to see any actual gains on my car yet becasue the tracks not open yet. BUT i can tell you that with the FR off, and my skinnies that i switched to, it launches ALOT better.
