will my axle handle dr's?

Obviously no one can know the answer for sure BUT, with the mods I have listed, and with a stock rear end, should I bolt on some drag radials this weekend or leave my steets on? I have 107k on the rear end though it has shown no signs of probs. I'm only headed to the track once and I just want a 1/4 time to quote if I'm asked. I have heard that A4 cars don't rip up their axles like M6's do, but with my vigilante 3200, Im gonna have a good bit of punch off the line.... anyone got advice?

That's alot of miles on that rear. But with an auto it should be ok for a few runs with DR's. My 10-bolt has survived 1.55 60fts. and is still in one piece.

You'll have 28 spline axles. They're not as strong as an aftermarket 28 spline axle but they're stronger than the older 26 spline.

It's not the axle you have to worry about. Chances are you'll never break one. The problem is the tiny 7 5/8" ring and pinion. Too much torque and the tiny teeth will break off.

I ran mid 11's on some 7.5", 4.10, Motive gears with no problems. I installed a 9" when I went with a transbrake.
