Will I pickup with a spool?

I'm swapping out my posi for a spool and was wondering if I'll notice a difference. I know the spool is lighter, but not that much lighter, and with the axles being locked together I didn't know if I would see a slight improvement in 60ft?

I doubt it unless the posi was worn out.

The only advantage to the spool is that the wheels will always turn the same speed. Even with a posi it's possible that one wheel could get a little more power than the other.

I too, just went with a welded up open carrier in my little rearend!
NOW I KNOW that both tires will be POWERED. Too many times have I see cars (including mine), stop spinning the drivers side tire in or coming out of the water box.

THIS WAY... I know for sure this isn't happening!

HInk (may my Moser axles hold on those turns!)
