Will I break Into the 12's?

With my 94 A4 (high miles), Bolt-ons (LT's), Cut-out, 3.73's, 2600 Stall, Tuning, Free mods Performance Rebuilt 4L60E(Very healthy trans ), Transgo shift kit, Tranny cooler (ect. ect.), With new plugs/wires...And on Nittos of course

So what do you guys think? Would a high 12 Be Attainable??

it's possible depends on the track, the weather, how you launch, etc. I wouldn't believe that my car ran a 12 if I hadn't been driving it at the time

like said above there are a lot of variables that go into it, but I think it everything is right you should be there. I am knocking on the 12's door and hope to be there when the track opens next week! You if everything was done right should be a little ahead of me, with tracks, weather, etc. being equal!

Re: Will I break Into the 12's?

w/ mods in sig. i am knocking on 12's. with 3.73's and your tune you should run 12.7's in some good weather. if you want to make sure just pull the seats, spare, and anything you can find. get some skinnies and if you hook on those nittos you should run 12's pretty easy. make sure you cool the car down real nice, and get those nittos real sticky. any way good luck, and as soon as my car gets back from the shop im going into susp, gears, and some spray. im just gonna forego 12's and shoot for an 11.8 or faster on a 100 shot

It should on a good night with good track prep on DRs, no front sway bar and a set of skinnies you can break well in to the 12s.

I agree, take off the front swaybar.

Id say low 13's...that 2600 stall is killing ya....get a higher/better stall and 12's no problem.

The stall isnt actually in yet..I bought a TCI breakaway stall (2600)...But now im having second thoughts before its even in.. ...I might end up going with a custom or Vig. 3000-3200 stall

I did with similar mods... removing the swaybar helped. The conditions weren't the best but they were pretty good.

I also remove some weight my taking out the seats inside the car.

Yea, I had a slp 2600 on my 97 and its was so mild it sucked ,and I had sh!tty times to show for it ...One mod I regretted not spensing more $ on

I chose a smaller converter because of the driveability of the car.

I doubt your poor times were based on a small converter though... as I have a 24-2500 stall and have no problem with my times.

I may be a few tenths faster with a higher stall.... but driving on the street, I like that it doesn't "spool up" as much.

I also paid only $250CDN for it (about $1 USD ) from a guy who was upgrading, so the deal was right too!
